Dental Technologists’ Day

September 24 is “Dental Technologists’ Day”
This date commemorates the birth of the Japan Dental Technologists Association on September 24, 1955, and has been established as a commemorative day for these medical technicians that support the health of the Japanese citizens.
October 8 is “Denture Appreciation Day”
The date is a play on the Japanese word for dentures: “ireba (1=i  0=re  8=ba)”. Dentures enable people to enjoy eating and having conversations, and this date was established to appreciate this fact.
